Why did UMZU choose the ingredients in Redwood?
UMZU's Redwood supplement is a mix of six individual ingredients, including vitamin C, garlic root odorless powder, horse chestnut seed extract, pine bark extract, casein hydrolysate, IPP from NZ grass-fed cow's milk, and L-Leucine. UMZU chose these ingredients because each has individually been shown to have beneficial effects in some studies. These include impacting blood pressure, circulation, heart health, vascularity, and immune health. These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. In some cases, the evidence is limited because studies have only been done in small human clinical trials.
All six ingredients are generally well tolerated and some are important for overall health as well. And in some cases, evidence suggests that a significant portion of the society is deficient and could benefit from supplementation. UMZU's Redwood supplement isn’t intended to treat heart disease and isn’t a substitute for treatments prescribed by your healthcare provider. -
How does this supplement compare to other circulation supplements I can buy?
There are many different supplements on the market that advertise that they support blood flow and circulation. While some individual ingredients may overlap between UMZU's Redwood supplement and other brands, not all formulations are exactly the same. All six ingredients and their dosages in UMZU's supplement were individually selected and specifically chosen. UMZU's Redwood supplement was not tested against or compared to any other products. UMZU makes no claims about how this pack will affect your body compared to other circulation supplements.
-
Will UMZU's Redwood improve my heart health?
UMZU's Redwood supplement is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. While its individual ingredients have been clinically studied, the Redwood supplement has not been tested in any clinical trials and there is no guarantee that taking the supplement will lead to an improvement in your heart health.
If you do suffer from heart disease, this supplement is not a treatment for your condition. You should talk to your healthcare provider about the best next steps in treatment. You may require treatment with lifestyle modification, medication, surgery, or a combination of these. -
How should I take UMZU's Redwood?
You should take six capsules of UMZU's Redwood supplement daily. It is recommended that these six capsules be taken in increments of three, at two separate times of the day. It is recommended that you take the supplement with food. To assess tolerability, you may want to begin by taking one to two capsules per day. Depending on the side effects you may be experiencing (if any), you can then gradually work your way up to the full dose.
-
Can I take more than 6 capsules per day?
It is not recommended that you take more than six capsules of UMZU's Redwood supplement per day. Doing so may increase your chance of experiencing side effects and may even be dangerous for your health. The Institute of Medicine publishes the Tolerable Upper Intake Levels (UL) for many nutrients. The UL indicates the “maximum daily intake unlikely to cause adverse health effects” for these nutrients. One of the ingredients in UMZU's Redwood supplement (vitamin C) has a published UL. Taking more than the recommended six capsules per day may therefore increase your chances of experiencing side effects. Additionally, this supplement should not be taken in combination with other supplements that contain vitamin C.
-
What if I accidentally miss a dose?
If you accidentally miss a dose, you can either take it when you remember or you can wait until the next day to resume the supplement. However, to avoid going over the Tolerable Upper Intake Levels for vitamin C, you should not take more than six capsules in a 24-hour period.
-
What are the possible side effects?
Possible side effects of UMZU's Redwood supplement include bad breath, heartburn, gas and diarrhea, although the ingredients in Redwood are generally considered safe when taken in the recommended dosages in this supplement. Users rarely report side effects and most can be avoided by taking Redwood with food and water. If you are experiencing worrisome symptoms, stop taking the supplement immediately and speak to your healthcare provider.
-
Is UMZU's Redwood safe for everybody?
The individual ingredients in UMZU's Redwood supplement are generally well tolerated. However, there are certain people who should refrain from use or should use caution due to possible interactions with medications. People with an allergy to casein should not take this supplement because it contains casein. Because some of the ingredients can increase the risk of bleeding, anybody who is undergoing surgery should stop the supplement at least a week before surgery. If you have a health condition or are taking medication and have questions about whether UMZU's Redwood supplement is safe for you, talk with your healthcare provider before taking the supplement.
-
Is UMZU's Redwood vegetarian or vegan?
UMZU's Redwood supplement is not vegetarian or vegan, as the capsules are made from gelatin and the casein hydrolysate is sourced from NZ grass-fed cows. If you adhere to a strict vegetarian or vegan diet, do not take UMZU's Redwood supplement.
-
If I stop taking UMZU's Redwood, will my circulatory health get worse?
Any benefit you experience from UMZU's Redwood supplement is likely dependent on the continued use of the supplement. If you stop taking the supplement and you do not change the habits which caused the circulatory nutrient deficiencies in the first place, then it is possible that your body will go back to the way it was before you were taking the supplement.
-
How else can I support circulatory health?
The best way to support circulatory health is to stay as healthy as possible overall. Eating a micronutrient-dense diet, getting regular exercise, maintaining a healthy body weight, and sleeping enough each day are all ways to make sure your body is functioning at its peak.
